Most expensive coin in the world

You may have collected coins as a hobby in some last years or you may have inherited these coins from your Grandfather, Grandmother. And now you may be interested in selling these coins for a good cash. Let me tell you what not to do.
1) Never sell or spend your ancient collected coins at their face value.
2) Do Not Clean Your Coins! Cleaning them automatically makes them worth less. A coin with a few small dings that has not been cleaned is worth more than a coin that has no dings, but has been cleaned.

Coin collection has been a very good hobby around the world. While people collect various different coins across the world, some rarest coins are always in great demand. The great demand increases the coin value. These rare coins are auctioned via different sources. Three different sources for selling coins are: -

1) Physical Auction: - You will have to find an auction and ensure that auction committee is interested in selling your coins. They may charge fee for auctioning your coins. Either they will take some percentage of your auctioned price value or they will take a flat value.

2) Online Auction: - This may be the best option in general for those who wish to get the most for their coins, and are not limited by time constraints. Selling your coins one at a time, over months and possibly years is the best way to get the most for your coin or coin collection. But where? I highly advise against using eBay or feeBay as many people call it. The fees to list and sell a coin on eBay are on the verge of outrageous. Just trust us on this one. Unless you are an experienced eBay user skip them. So where do you sell online? I've listed a few sites below that are trustworthy fair alternatives to feeBay.

a) GreatCollections.com:- this site allows you to sell your coins with low fees. They also offer grading, storage, and a healthy marketplace as of early 2013.
b) Coins.Ha.com:- Heritage sells more than just coins, but is the largest in terms of overall sales.

I hope that it has helped you. I will tell you now the most expensive coin in the world till now. The value of a coin will always be connected to its rarity.

$20 million coin 1849 Double Eagle is the most expensive coin in the world. During the start of the California gold rush in 1849, United States Mint in Philadelphia created this extremely rare coin. This Double Eagle gold piece was released in denominations of $20. Just a couple of years ago, the value of the coin was estimated to be at $15 million. Just a year later, its value has risen by a third. The first-ever piece of the 1849 Double Eagle can be found at the Smithsonian Institute’s National Numismatic Collection.
